I’m Ken Strahan, founder of Hope’s Alive Outdoors (HAO), a place where Hope and Adventure meet for boys from single-parent homes and boys from all walks of life.
Based in Weatherford, Texas. HAO is a year-round outdoor adventure ministry designed to mentor boys ages 9–18 through powerful, Christ-centered experiences in the great outdoors.
HAO adventures are open to boys ages 9–18, with a maximum of 10 participants per trip to ensure intentional mentorship and safety. Adventures are offered on a sign-up basis, and parents are responsible for transportation to and from each event.
In partnership with our sister ministry, Hope’s Alive Poverty Solutions (HAPS), boys learn how to become HAO World Changers - investing their time and hearts to help some of the world’s poorest people. Our goal is to raise up young men who live with purpose, gratitude, and compassion.
